got a call earlier claiming to help block unwanted calls. they already knew my full address, name and postcode. then they asked for my bank card’s expiry date, when it was issued, and the bank’s name. they even double checked that my card started with a 4. i told ’em straight away i don’t hand over any bank info. then i got put through to another bloke who repeated the same questions. never had anything like this before, so watch out and don’t fall for it!

Tried to ring the voicemail, but the call ended just as soon as I got through.

Someone called claiming to be from some kind of unsolicited number blocking service. I told them to block their own number in a way they clearly didn’t appreciate.

Got a call from an unfamiliar number but no one spoke on the other end. Strange.

He claimed the service was meant to block unsolicited calls, but got quite upset when I suggested his call was one of those unwanted unsolicited calls.
