Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent claiming he was with some government IVA department and said he wanted to help. He told me the Ministry of Justice was recording our chat. When I called him out on it, he still stuck to the same script for nearly 13 minutes! Well, at least I managed to waste a bit of their time.

Got a call from 0121 770 0175, sounded like someone from abroad. The lady sounded really confident, said she was working with Curry’s fraud team. She started talking about some debt I allegedly owe them and was quite insistent about sorting it out. Felt quite dodgy if you ask me.

Phone rang with someone claiming to be from Domestic and General offering a warranty on my fridge freezer. When I said I already had insurance and wasn’t doing any deals on the phone, they suddenly gave a different company name. After that, they rudely told me to buzz off and just hung up. Proper cheeky if you ask me.

I rang this number back after I cut off a bloke who'd phoned me from 01060728304. He was going on about some car crash and compensation I was supposed to get. When I told him I had only two words to say, the last being "OFF," I just ended the call and blocked the number. Seriously, why do these muppets keep bothering folks overseas instead of pestering their own people? Wouldn’t it be great if BT could track down those using fake caller IDs and actually take action against them?

Got a call early morning around 8:30, bloke claimed he was from windows security. Told him straight away I haven’t got a computer, then he just ended the call. But that wasn’t the end, he rang me back like 5 more times! Each time I said again I don’t own a computer but he just wouldn’t take my word for it. Total con job, super frustrating.

Got a call earlier from this number, some chap with an Asian accent said he was from Visa Security warning me about two transactions, £300 and £1100, from my account today. Thought it sounded dodgy straight away, so I challenged him on it. He got a bit flustered but stayed polite before ending the call. Definitely seemed like a scam to me.

Got a robo call warning me my internet was going to be cut off in a couple hours because apparently my IP address had been hacked "from various places". They told me to press 1 to fix the connection. They kept saying they’re my internet supplier but never actually said the company’s name! Totally a scam, watch out!

I keep getting texts from this number saying £600 was withdrawn from my account somewhere abroad. It's always the same amount and some foreign place, asking me to press 1 if I want to confirm, which I never do. This kind of scam is really annoying and needs to be dealt with.

I got a robo call from an Asian lady saying they’d charge me £39 for Amazon Prime on the 18th, and to press 1 if I wanted to cancel or talk about it. Problem is, I never signed up for that and the date and amount are all wrong. Also, how can the same number be linked with TPS, business development, and all that jazz? It’s definitely a scam. Someone seriously needs to shut these muppets down! 😑😑😑😑😑

So this guy rings claiming to be from the TPS, right? He starts off by saying they noticed we’re punctual with paying our phone bills and offers some sort of “free” service to block annoying calls. Then he drops the price - about 2 quid a month. I quickly told him if it costs money it’s not really free, so no thanks, and ended the call. Quite cheeky!

Got a call from some bloke from India asking for my daughter. Didn't catch what he said first, so I asked him to say it again. Then he started rambling on about something I couldn't make heads or tails of. I asked him once more to repeat himself, and that’s when I picked up on my daughter’s name. I told him she was out at work and hung up. Still don’t get why he chatted away to me instead of just asking, given I’m her dad!

This number rang my mum’s old landline and asked who she uses for gas, if it was British Gas or not. I told him that was private and none of his concern. When the call came in, I answered but held off talking since my Caller ID showed who it was. The voice on the other end was a recorded message claiming my computer was involved in some illegal stuff. I let the whole message play out then just ended the call, definitely not pressing any buttons. I wouldn’t dream of pressing 1, but I worry some less tech-savvy folks might fall for it. There was a pause, then a man, maybe with an Indian accent, asked if I was the woman of the house. I replied asking for his name, but he just repeated the question. After that, it seemed like he tried to say who he claimed to be, but I couldn’t catch it due to the accent. I told him I had no idea who he was and to remove my number from their calls.
