9 yearsSo I got a call about some accident claim, seemed like a scam from the start. I decided to answer using an old lady’s voice, since the number was unknown and the caller claimed it was all legit. They were dead set on getting my bank details, saying it was to pay me for a car accident. I told them I haven’t even been in a car for years, never mind an accident. They insisted it was a serious case, causing memory loss and that's why the payout took so long, even said they got my info from the doctor. When they asked for my bank details, I switched to my normal voice and used a robotic message saying the call’s being recorded and reported to the police for scams. They then started swearing at me, telling me to basically go away and die, and hung up sharpish.Scam9 yearsWhat a cheeky bunch of fraudsters! I received a call that came up as a scam on Truecaller, so I decided to play along and pretended to be a sweet old lady. They were so quick to think I’d fall for their nonsense and spill my bank card details in order to collect some ‘compensation’ for a car accident I had never even been in-truth be told, I haven't set foot in a car for ages. When I pointed out that I'd never had a crash, they spun a ridiculous story about how the severity of it had caused me to forget and claimed I could receive more cash because of it. They even said they 'got my details from the doctor.' Absolutely absurd! At that point, I switched gears and spoke in a robotic voice, saying, “Thank you for your call; this conversation is being recorded and reported to the local police as a scam.” Wouldn’t you know it, they reacted like a bull in a china shop, hurling expletives at me before slamming down the phone!Truecaller9 yearsHad a call about some accident claims, and weirdly it showed up just a few minutes after I’d taken another call from a similar number. As soon as I said I was recording everything and would report it to the police, the person hurriedly cursed and then cut the line. This one was definitely an auto dialler. Best to just ignore it - a nasty scam if you pick up.9 yearsGot a call from some automated robot, total scam, no doubt about it. Also, a quick tip about TPS - you actually need to tell every single company yourself if you want to be added to their TPS list. They won’t automatically block your number unless you ask them.
