9 yearsScam alert for accident claims! I received a dubious call, and knowing it was a scam, I decided to adopt the voice of an elderly lady. They were rather presumptuous, thinking I’d be gullible enough to hand over my bank card and account details to claim supposed compensation for a car accident I'd never been involved in-I've not even set foot in a car for ages! When I mentioned that I hadn't been in an accident, they rambled something about how the severity had caused minor memory loss, which conveniently justified their long-winded processes and why they needed my banking details now, claiming they'd sourced my information from my doctor. At that point, I reverted to my own voice, imitating an automated message: “Thank you for your call; this conversation is recorded and has been reported to the authorities regarding fraudulent activities.” They reacted quite angrily, telling me to “**** off and die” before abruptly disconnecting the call.Scam9 yearsWhat a cheeky bunch of fraudsters! I received a call that came up as a scam on Truecaller, so I decided to play along and pretended to be a sweet old lady. They were so quick to think I’d fall for their nonsense and spill my bank card details in order to collect some ‘compensation’ for a car accident I had never even been in-truth be told, I haven't set foot in a car for ages. When I pointed out that I'd never had a crash, they spun a ridiculous story about how the severity of it had caused me to forget and claimed I could receive more cash because of it. They even said they 'got my details from the doctor.' Absolutely absurd! At that point, I switched gears and spoke in a robotic voice, saying, “Thank you for your call; this conversation is being recorded and reported to the local police as a scam.” Wouldn’t you know it, they reacted like a bull in a china shop, hurling expletives at me before slamming down the phone!Truecaller9 yearsHad a call about some accident claims, and weirdly it showed up just a few minutes after I’d taken another call from a similar number.
