Got a call on my home phone around 1.50pm today from someone claiming to be a solicitor’s office about an accident or insurance issue involving my car recently. Thing is, none of that ever happened. I told them flat out it was a dodgy call and that I planned to report it. Using 1471 I checked the number - it came up as 01217 518141. Apparently loads of folks all over the country have had these suspicious calls lately. It’s pretty worrying - could be a nasty scam or at the very least just plain harassment.
