When I picked up, there was this bloke with a strong accent who was really slow to start talking, like he took about 5 seconds before he said anything. He somehow had my name and knew where I lived. Amid all the background chatter from what sounded like a call centre, he asked how I was doing and about my day, all polite-like. Then he mentioned some energy efficiency grant he wanted to discuss. I didn’t bother and just ended the call, then blocked the number straight away.
