Someone rang me claiming there was a government grant available for solar panels. When I asked where they were calling from, he said Birmingham but didn’t sound British at all. When I requested his phone number, he gave me a mobile that didn’t match the number showing up on my caller ID. I’ve blocked the number now, but they keep calling from different ones. Honestly, the government needs to tighten things up and stop these scammers, whether they’re abroad or local, preying on people in their own homes.
