Got a call from someone speaking with an Indian or Pakistani accent claiming they were from a legitimate government body that could sort out my PPI claim. They said if I signed up for a Life Assurance plan for about 5 or 6 months, I could dodge a 40% cut from my payout. To set this up, they wanted my bank info. I told them straight away I wasn’t about to share my bank details over the phone with strangers. They just ended the call after that.
