I seen these called 4G Upgrades, they show up on EE's site so I guess they're legit. I phoned EE and they confirmed it's a genuine firm that handle some of their upgrade jobs.

Got a call from 0121 748 8474 saying something about upgrading my EE phone. After reading some of the reviews here, I started feeling a bit iffy about it. But then I checked and realised I’ve actually been using 4G-Upgrades since 2014 with no issues whatsoever. They partner with EE and usually offer some pretty decent deals too.

Definitely not EE even tho they say they are, and somehow they have all your info.

You might reckon this is EE calling, but it’s actually 4G-Upgrades, and they keep bugging you pretending to be EE. The feedback on this lot is awful, so I’d say stay well clear of them.

I ignored the phone call but right after I got a text saying - Hi Jo, we been trying to reach you about your EE upgrade. Please ring Neil at 01217488474 to get your special discount. It’s proper annoying. If I wanted an upgrade, I’d ask for it myself.

There’s some woman calling herself Emma, total con. She asks for your info and then hits you with crazy fees for an upgrade. Also tries to grab your personal and credit details. Watch out!

Scam alert. Got a call from someone asking for my personal info to supposedly let me upgrade early without any fees, which sounded like nonsense. I didn't share anything and they wanted to call me back later? Really dodgy. Definitely BLOCK THAT NUMBER!

It was an EE Upgrades call. They shared details that I had actually given them earlier. So for me, it wasn’t a ''scam'' call since I was the one who reached out first.

SCAMMERS for sure. Some bloke called himself Sam and already knew about me upgrading my iPhone soon. He tried to get me to pay £259 for the upgrade. I rang 150 to check and EE told me that number had nothing to do with them. Dunno how they do it but it looks like a call from EE on your phone. Best bet is to deal directly with 150. I was lucky cos my upgrade only cost £20 when I went through the right channel. Watch out, seriously, BE VERY CAREFUL.

Received a call from a so-called representative claiming to be from EE, discussing a phone upgrade. However, it’s clear they’re not actually affiliated with EE at all. Best to steer clear of this one.

It's one of those call centres that makes automated calls. Occasionally, they haven't got an agent available to put you through to, so you're left hanging.

I've received numerous calls along with several voicemail messages, so I decided to pick up one of the calls. They claimed to be from EE and had all my details at their disposal. When I probed a bit further, they presented me with an enticing offer but then proceeded to request either my passport number, driving licence, or debit card details for verification. No chance, I thought! They really ought to be dealt with.

I find it absolutely infuriating that I receive constant calls - often several a day - from this lot. They bombard me with texts, leave voicemails, and despite my clear requests to have my information removed from their records, the harassment continues unabated. I refuse to give my business to any company that resorts to such heavy-handed tactics. Should I ever consider an upgrade in the future, you can be certain they won’t be getting my custom. They purport to be 'partners' with EE, yet I have never consented to my number being shared with third-party firms, which only adds to my frustration with both organisations.

I got a call at 1:43 PM today. When I picked it up, there was complete silence on the other side! I hung around for a moment, but eventually the line went dead. This isn't the first time it’s happened either; I've had quite a few of these calls from different numbers, and they always seem to just drop. Is it actually possible for callers to gather information just by ringing and then disconnecting?
