In the last couple of days, I got two calls from them. They asked for me by name but didn’t say it right, sounded like they had a foreign accent. It was something to do with a hearing clinic. I was a bit irritated and wondered why they were bothering me. Then suddenly, they just hung up on me.

They claimed to be from somewhere near Birmingham City football ground but the person on the line was clearly foreign! They kept going on about whether I had worked somewhere noisy, apparently so I could get some compensation. Like with every dodgy call, I just told them to remove me from their list and to bugger off!

Got a ring from 0121 736 0046 earlier, a local Birmingham code so I picked up straight away. They asked for me using my full name, I confirmed it was me, then they started talking about ear cleaning and asked if I’d ever had a job in a loud place. I said no, never, and the call ended instantly with a quick goodbye. The man’s voice didn’t seem like he was from Birmingham though, sounded more like he had an Indian accent.
