I received a rather dubious call earlier, with the individual asserting that the warranty on my washing machine had expired and that he could renew it for me. Naturally, I didn't hesitate to block this intrusive caller. It’s quite puzzling how they managed to obtain my number in the first place.

Got a call from a number I didn’t know, so I didn’t pick up. Shortly after, I got a text from Marshalls saying they’d been trying to ring me to arrange a car service appointment.

This number rang me about five times in a row. My advice? Always avoid picking up calls from numbers you don’t recognise. And for goodness sake, don’t agree to anything if you’re not sure who it is - these things can be twisted into finance contracts without you realising.

Got a call from this number telling me my washing machine's warranty had expired. I never bother with warranties anyway since loads of companies fold and I usually don’t trust them. Plus, the washing machine was bought ages ago, so it felt a bit odd. After hanging up, I looked up the number and found nothing, so I’m pretty sure it’s just some dodgy scam.

Typical road traffic incident, really - they did manage to get the right date and the name of the individual behind the wheel! Though it was a company motor, they refused to divulge any further details and just kept insisting that they were only able to chat with the driver. Quite frustrating, to say the least!
