I picked up and stayed on the line, but no one talked back and it just ended the call.

Some guy called me, claiming it was for a survey. Proper thick Indian accent. Said it wouldn’t take long at all. The number showed as Birmingham, which is where I live. I tried to have a bit of fun and asked what the weather was like outside - was about to tell him I don’t chat with fibbers if he lied about being from here. He kept dodging the question and wouldn’t reply. Told him if he answered me, I’d answer back but then he just ended the call.

The person on the phone had a really thick Indian accent and refused to say which company they were calling from when I asked. I told them the number they dialled was a restricted government line, and as you'd expect, they just ended the call immediately.
