About three quarters of an hour back, I got a ring from 0121 732 9704, and according to my phone it was coming from Birmingham. Just a heads up, it’s definitely some sort of scam or spam. Best not to pick up. If you’ve had it too, drop a message here to help warn others!

My phone showed a warning about possible spam, so I just ignored it. Came here to check and yep, it really was spam. Blocked the number right away!

It seemed fairly evident that this lady was trying to pull a fast one; she didn't exude any air of professionalism whatsoever. She was going on about being from a repairs department aimed at council and housing association residents. Given that I don’t fall into either of those categories, I thought it wise to cut the conversation short.

Some woman called saying she was representing Repairs for tenants in Council or Housing Association flats. I acted like I was completely lost and daft on the phone. She didn’t bother talking after that and just ended the call!
