I usually ignore calls from numbers I don’t recognise, but since I was waiting to hear from the doctors, I picked up. As soon as the bloke started chatting, he pleaded with me to be kind, saying he’d dealt with some pretty nasty people already that day! When I asked what the call was about, he began asking if I owned my home and what make my washing machine is. I told him nicely I wasn’t comfortable answering those questions. That’s when he told me to shove off! So, I just hung up.

I usually don't pick up calls from numbers I don't recognise, but I was expecting a call about a medical appointment, so I answered this one. The bloke on the other end started asking me questions right away. The first one was harmless and didn’t need any personal info, but then he asked if I was a homeowner or renting. I said I wasn’t comfortable answering that. He kept pushing, saying “Come on, just help me out here!” I told him no and that I was hanging up. Before I could, he shouted something like “Go to hell!” - honestly, so rude and aggressive.
