This bloke named Martin rang me up, saying I'd been in some kind of accident. I asked straight away what firm he was with, and he said AMS Nationwide, registered under the Ministry of Justice claims regulation with CRM number 31468. I told him that making unsolicited calls like that is against the law, and then he just went quiet and hung up on me.

Today, on the 13th of November 2015, I received a phone call at 5.49pm from a firm calling themselves Accident Management Services. They dialled my mobile, which is odd considering I live in a spot with very patchy signal, and only close friends usually call me on it. When I asked where they got my number from, they just hung up. I tried to call back after checking the number, but ended up on an automated message saying it was AMS International Accident Management Services Nationwide. I got a call from a woman who claimed she was checking up on me about a recent car crash. I told her I’d never talked to anyone like that before and I don’t even own a car, so there’s no way I could’ve been involved in an accident. She kept pushing, saying maybe I was just a passenger in the incident. I told her she must have the wrong person. Then she got quite rude, saying she wasn’t a dog when I mentioned I thought she was barking up the wrong tree. When I asked to speak to a manager, she refused and just ended the call.
