Somebody rang me up claiming I could get solar panels for free. When I asked for more details, he started talking about a £10,000 loan I’d have to take and supposedly recover the cash through energy savings. I told him that’s definitely more than just “not costing a penny.” After a bit of back and forth, he got annoyed and said I’d wasted six minutes of his time before telling me to f*** off. He said he was calling from Torquay, but the number showed up as coming from Birmingham.
