Today, I got a ring from this number, which looked local to Birmingham, so I picked up (we normally just block calls from “Unavailable” or foreign numbers). There was a bloke on the line with an Indian accent who asked me who I was, but he kept getting my name wrong as he read it off his screen. After I told him the right name, he began asking about a holiday booking supposedly made in the last couple of years. Since we haven’t been on holiday for ages, like over five years, I quickly guessed it was a scam or some dodgy insurance call and ended the call straight away.
