Got a ring from this number today. Since it was a local one (from Birmingham), I thought I'd pick up, as we typically disregard calls marked as "International" or "Withheld." A chap with an Indian accent on the line wanted to know my identity, fumbling with my name as he clearly read it wrong from his screen. Once I clarified my name, he proceeded to ask about a holiday reservation we supposedly made in the past two years. Given that we haven't been on a holiday in more than five years, it dawned on me that this was likely some dodgy scam or an insurance ploy, so I promptly ended the call.
