recently, ive been bothered by loads of calls claiming the police are on their way to arrest me for dodging taxes, and they say i have to pay up immediately or else ill get nicked. the voices on the phone usually have asian or american accents. the numbers they use begin with 0191, 0333, sometimes even 07 or 021. once in a while, they say my computer's got a nasty virus and needs urgent fixing - typical scam. i usually play along, asking them which one they mean, since ive got about four devices.

Got a call from an Asian guy who couldn’t really talk English properly, said he was from some Life Insurance firm. I just told him to ring me back once his English improves! Definitely a scam!

Today at 3.46pm, got a call from 0121 725 8879, which is a Birmingham number. Then at 11.03am, 0203 884 2169 called me. Later at 1.35pm, 0208 840 9849 from London rang too. All of them asked for personal info updates, seemed like they already knew some stuff but wanted more. I didn’t give anything over the phone. They just hung up. Totally scam calls, watch out and be careful! Don’t fall for it.

A guy with an Asian accent called saying his name was Sam. He wanted to speak to my husband, but I asked why first. He started going on about life insurance stuff. I wouldn’t hand the phone over. Then he asked how old my husband was, but I just said that’s private and ended the call.

Got a call from a guy who said he was from the Citizens Advice Bureau, talking about some debt I supposedly owe. I told him straight up he ain't from CAB, then he just ended the call. I reckon pretending to be from them should be illegal. What’s weird is I’d mentioned CAB in a WhatsApp group not long before this. Wonder if other people are getting calls like this too.

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent claiming to be from Citizen Advice. He asked if he was talking to me by name but didn’t wait for me to confirm. When I asked who he was, he just said Citizen Advice. Then he asked if I was alright, but when I replied with 'what do you want', he just abruptly ended the call. Could hear loads of noise in the background like it was a busy call centre or something.

About five minutes ago, I got a call from a man who sounded Asian and spoke kind of broken English. He said he was from some company about insurance or pensions, something called Life Projects or similar. He kept using my first name but I told him that’s not actually my name, then he just ended the call straight away. Couldn't really get what he was saying properly.
