I got a call from a bloke named Steve Whittaker, he had a really thick accent and said he was from BT, saying there were issues with our broadband. I told him we actually use Virgin and asked why BT was contacting us. He gave some dodgy reply that didn’t make much sense. I said I’d ring him back to make sure it wasn’t a scam. He gave me the number 01158882696, but when I checked the missed call with *1471, it showed a different number, 01217093082. Suspicious if you ask me.
