I dialled 1471 to see who had given me a tinkle, and this number popped up. The caller launched straight into this rather lengthy spiel regarding the GOV.UK energy efficiency initiative, rattling on about a free boiler replacement service. Strangely enough, I've had similar calls before - in fact, I recall two others with the same voice and utterly identical message, but they came from different numbers, one of which purportedly rang in from abroad. It’s all quite perplexing, isn't it?
