So I got a call from a guy named ‘Steven’ who spoke with an Asian accent, claiming to be from BT. He said my internet speed wasn’t right according to their system and wanted to sort it out. I told him nothing seemed wrong on my end, but he insisted I wouldn’t notice it myself. Then he asked me to fetch a tablet or computer to fix it. I just laughed and told him to send me something in writing confirming who he was and what he planned to do so I could check with the ICO. After that, he just hung up on me!
