Over the last few weeks, I’ve gotten several pre-recorded calls from a woman with an American accent saying she was from BT and warning me that my Internet was about to be cut off today. They asked me to press 1, which felt really dodgy. Obviously, I didn’t press anything and just ended the call. Why the heck would BT use an American voice to warn UK customers? Plus, there’s no reason my Internet should be at risk anyway. If this was truly a BT message, it’s a very sketchy and unprofessional way to contact customers. I wouldn’t trust it for a second.
