They claimed to be calling on behalf of my energy provider, Green Star Energy, about fitting a smart meter. I told them several times I didn’t ask for one and never gave Green Star Energy permission to share my info with them, but the caller kept pushing really hard to get me to say yes to an installation. I ended the call. I’ve since reported both Green Star Energy and National Grid to the ICO through their website.

Hello there, I've received a couple of texts from this number requesting feedback on a scale of 1 to 5. Honestly, I'm baffled as to what exactly I'm meant to be rating or what their intentions are. I've signed up with the Telephone Preference Service for both my landline and mobile, which has certainly cut down on the pesky calls, though they haven't entirely vanished. If they're trying to discuss a smart meter, I have no interest in it and certainly don't appreciate being pressured.
