some bloke named jim or maybe jing rang me claiming he was from the government, talking about a free boiler replacement. he asked how old my boiler was and seemed to know my address and phone number, even though i'm on the tps register. when i kept pressing for the company he said it was ‘pbc’ and insisted it was official govt stuff. then he got proper rude and called me a time waster before just cutting me off. honestly felt really pushy and a bit like harassment.

However, they failed to mention which organization they were from, indicating that they are not affiliated with our local authority. These individuals had foreign accents, possibly of Asian origin. Just recently, they called again and I terminated the call without uttering a single word. Surprisingly, the phone immediately began to ring again, prompting us to switch on our answering machine. They had done the same thing during lunchtime as well - even after speaking with my husband, they called again when we redirected the call to our answering machine. It is worth mentioning that we are registered on the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) as well.
