I got a call from a guy who sounded Asian, saying there was a car crash I was involved in. I simply said “no” to that. Then he tried saying maybe it was a family member who’d had the accident, but I just said “no” again. He then asked to talk to my husband. When he got him on the phone, he started going on about how my husband needed a new wife and that he had someone in mind. I got on the line again and told him the whole thing was rubbish and a complete waste of both time and money. After that, he just hung up.

I received a call just now regarding a recent accident, and it struck me that the voice on the other end sounded quite like it was coming from an Indian call centre. In the end, I decided to hang up.
