The phone buzzes, you pick up, and then there's a long pause of about 15 seconds before you're patched through to some call centre - total scam!

Got a couple of calls from this number early morning but didn’t pick up since it looked unfamiliar. After checking out the comments, it seems like it might be spam or some random unknown caller, so I marked it as “Unknown”.

This number rang me a couple of times but I didn't pick up. I looked it up later and when I tried calling back, the line just said it was unavailable. Looks like a scam to me, best to steer clear.

I got a call from a guy who spoke with an Asian accent, saying he was ringing from EE. Honestly, all I caught was that bit - he spoke for ages in a really robotic, scripted way. I told him I didn’t quite catch what he was saying, and right after that, he just hung up on me.

Received a call from a chap named "Paul" claiming to be from Curry's PC World. It all seemed a bit dodgy, if I'm honest. Definitely sounds like a scam to me, no doubt about it!

Got a call from some guy claiming to be from EE, trying to sell me a phone deal. Told him I’m already with EE and only want texts, not calls. Then he said I should cancel my contract with them if I don’t like being called. After that, he just ended the call. Fair enough, I suppose! 😊

Got a call from someone saying they were with Currys or PC World about a phone order I supposedly made. I never placed any order. They kept firing loads of questions at me. Ended up blocking the number.

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent talking about some car crash I was supposedly involved in. I told him he must have dialed the wrong number, but he kept insisting he was right. Oddly, he never asked for me by name, which makes no sense since only my close family and mates have my number. Plus, I don’t even drive! Weird one, really.

Some lady rang me saying she was from Curry's with some mobile deal. She kept asking stuff about my network and plan. When I turned it back on her like “you called me, you tell me,” she just cut me off straight away. Blocked the number quick.

My phone rang from an unfamiliar Helmsley, Yorkshire area code. Since I have no contacts there, I ignored it. No voicemail was left, so I just let it go.
