Somebody rang up saying they were from RSU and tried to sell me an extension on the manufacturer’s warranty, asking for £66. Our equipment is six years old and never had any extensions before. The caller clearly didn’t know anything about the actual machine. When I told them they shouldn’t be calling me out of the blue like that and asked to be taken off their call list as it’s against the rules, they just cut me off. Honestly, that just raised all sorts of warning bells for me.
