got a call today from some company called “everyday” about life insurance, they weren’t trying to push me to buy anything just wanted to check if my deal was good. when i managed to speak he wouldn’t listen and i told him i’m happy with my current cover and if i want anything else i can look it up online myself. told him to take me off their call list and not to bother ringing again.

I've had two missed calls from this number, and each time there’s only silence followed by a click before the line goes dead. I politely asked her to repeat the name she was looking for, and once again she mentioned 'Mr Close'. I firmly informed her that there has never been a 'Mr Close' residing at this address during our 45 years of living here. It was clearly a scam attempt, and I promptly hung up as I had more pressing matters to attend to than engaging in a conversation with someone who was essentially a nobody.
