I received a call purporting to be from BT Internet Services, warning that my broadband would be disconnected immediately. When I probed for more details, they abruptly ended the call. Strangely enough, I’m currently online at home, enjoying my BT fibre optic connection.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from BT, telling me my internet would be cut off soon. They didn't say why or give any details. Pretty clear it was a dodgy scam.

after a brief pause when i answered, some bloke with an accent tried to say my name (he nearly got it right). I asked who he was and he hung up straight away. the number started with 0121, which is a birmingham area code, but i don’t know anyone there. so, i blocked it. these calls are driving me nuts - at least one every single day, even with bt call-protect on. i reckon the numbers are either fresh or faked from overseas to get past the blocking.
