Reports on phone number 01216436783
11 yearsI received a call from this number on the 14th of April regarding crime prevention for security purposes. They were keen to dispatch someone to my home for an assessment of my requirements and provide a cost estimate, but refused to give me any figures over the phone. I politely declined their offer.11 yearsI received a call on the 31st of March, 2015, purporting to be from some sort of Crime Prevention Service. They were apparently reaching out to homeowners under the age of 80 as part of a campaign. When I mentioned that the homeowner wasn’t in that age bracket, the caller simply said, "I apologise for bothering you, enjoy your afternoon." How charming of him to deduce that the homeowner must be over 80! I've gone ahead and reported this to the police.Crime Prevention Service11 yearsThe individual who rang certainly seemed to be presenting themselves as if they were representing the police force. Quite an unsettling experience, I must say. The call came in at three o'clock in the afternoon on the 11th of March, 2015.12 yearsAnnoying phone pest!12 yearsI just had a rather dubious phone call from this number, claiming to be involved with fire safety initiatives in my locality. When I directly questioned the reason behind his call, as I was rather occupied, his reply was a rather dismissive, "so am I." At that point, I decided to terminate the conversation. It felt quite off to me. I can't help but think he might be targeting vulnerable elderly folks, preying on their concerns about safety and security under the guise of a helpful inquiry.12 yearsThis morning, I received a rather peculiar call. The chap on the other end claimed to be spreading the word about safety initiatives in my neighbourhood. He inquired whether I was a homeowner and how old I was. I made it clear that I don’t divulge personal details over the phone to strangers, you know, safety first and all that jazz. He insisted that was all he wanted to know, but I maintained my stance and reiterated that I’d rather keep my information private. He then said "fair enough" and promptly ended the call. Quite the odd encounter, if you ask me!12 yearsI received a call from this number and must say, the individual on the other end was remarkably discourteous and impolite. He claimed to be representing 'Secure Homes' and insisted on conversing with my husband, even after I informed him that he wasn't free at the moment. I suggested passing on a message, but he remained adamant and continued his rude behaviour. His telephone etiquette was by far the worst I’ve encountered. When I mentioned that we're signed up with the Call Preference Service and shouldn't be receiving calls like his, he responded with disbelief, saying, "Really? I can't fathom that." At that point, I simply hung up on him.Secure HomesCall Preference ServiceSubmit Your Own Report (0121 643 6783)
