I'm getting around two or three calls each day. I've tried blocking the numbers, but they somehow manage to send me texts anyway. It's so irritating, I can't even begin to describe how annoyed I am!

Got a call from this number earlier, said they were handing out some security systems connected to the police, and my name popped up for a giveaway. All I had to cover was the installation fee, about £200 they said. I told the bloke I wasn’t interested, he just said thanks and ended the call.

We got a call from someone checking if our burglar alarm was linked to the police. As soon as we confirmed it was, the line went dead.

I’ve had calls from this number three times just this week, but every time I pick up, the person on the other side just hangs up straight away.

They try to persuade you that you've been in a car accident near the supermarket or some local shop. Then they offer to lodge a claim on your behalf. They even asked if my wife had some kind of crash in a car park, as if maybe she just forgot about it. No worries from them, they'd handle the claim for her too! They also asked if there were any dents on the car that I couldn’t remember where they came from, and insisted it must have happened at the supermarket or a local shopping car park. Quite cheeky really!
