I got a call from this number today (25/03/2026), and the person said they were with the West Midlands council. They called me by a nickname, which I thought was really suspicious right away. Luckily, I use call screening on my phone so I can dodge these kinds of calls more easily.

Got a call supposedly from the National Lottery saying I needed to fill out a survey they’d sent via email. Thing is, I’d never got any email at all. This was the second time they called, but from a different number. So I looked into it and honestly, it seems like a scam to me.

I got this call where the person acted like I was daft, kept pushing me about whether I’d asked for help (which I didn’t), and questioned me about stuff like my age, totally not related to what was going on. In the end, I just hung up and blocked the number straight away.

Got a call from them saying they were doing a survey about a call I supposedly made about an energy grant half a year ago. I was at work so told them I had to hang up, but they quickly asked when they could ring me back.

Had a call from someone saying they could sort out business finance for me, sounded a bit off if you ask me. Didn't really feel right, maybe a scam or something pretending to help with money stuff for businesses. Be careful, doesn't seem legit!

Got a call from a lady claiming to be with ‘Winning Moves’ or something, said it was some official government survey about energy use. Definitely sounded a bit dodgy to me.

I had a similar experience, seemed like the bloke lost his cool as soon as he realised he couldn’t pull a fast one on me.

My nan got really shaken up after that phone call. The bloke trying to scam her was rubbish at stealing card info. He even mentioned he’d return and seemed to know her address. I told the cops about his creepy stalking behaviour and they’re now checking it out.
