They rang me up sayin I'd been in an accident which I definitely hadn’t, sounded like one of those ambulance chaser scams to me.

called me from this number earlier today - when it suddenly cuts off, it’s just the automated system checking if anyone’s available, not a dropped call. when someone finally picked up, a friendly lady explained they were ringing about an accident i supposedly had a part in. obviously, i said no, and she said they'd take my number off their list. polite enough, but a bit of a nuisance really.

I got a call about some car crash, I told them no thanks and they just cut off after a few secs. Then my husband’s phone buzzed, same number but with one digit changed - both our phones are on the same network and contract, which is a bit weird.
