9 yearsThey've called me twice now. The first time, I said a few words and the woman just hung up on me. The second call was from a man who seemed to know my name and address. He asked if I was the one who usually pays the bills and said my phone number had been flooded with nuisance calls. He claimed they’d add me to a permanent no-call list to stop it happening again. Then he brought up the expiry date on my credit or debit card, asking me to confirm it. I flat out refused, saying there’s no way I’m giving out card details as I’m not paying anything. Told him it’d probably be easier to just unplug my phone since I get so many calls on my mobile anyway. He kept pushing but I told him, do you really think I’d be daft enough to hand over info to a stranger? I even said it sounded like a scam, and that’s when he hung up.
