Got a call from some number claiming to talk about a delivery and a trade account I supposedly had? That’s not even true, I don’t own any trade account. Hung up and blocked the caller straight away!

Watch out! This person is a total scammer. You'd expect their company to hire someone who doesn't sound so dodgy right off the bat, but nope, they come across like a snake oil salesman. It’s so clear they're just trying to con folks, not because they're struggling, but like they're deliberately after your money. Absolutely shameless.

This number just rang me up, so I told my mobile provider about it straight away. I really think everyone should send the word "scam" to 7726. After that, they'll ask for the number, and you just send them the scammer’s digits. It’s a great way to push back against these calls! 😊

Indeed, I received a rather bewildering call today as well. It was from a chap with a British accent, but honestly, his chatter was utterly nonsensical. When I mentioned I was clueless about the purpose of the call, he abruptly cut the line. Quite the odd experience, if you ask me! - Caller: ???

Got a call from an Asian woman trying to sell me some get-rich-quick scheme about the markets. I joked back saying I was already loaded and actually on my yacht in Monte Carlo, taking the call on my mobile. She hung up straight away!

@ boiler room scam where they fake the caller ID. The call seems to come from birmingham, uk but it’s actually from india. It’s ridiculous that spoofed calls aren’t stopped by the phone company itself. The ico should be forcing bt to come up with a real tech fix instead of just doing a few token arrests which don’t really cut down the number of annoying calls we get. If you get these calls, definitely report them on the ico nuisance calls site. It feels pointless but hopefully one day they’ll actually have enough data to do something about it.

I picked up the phone and as soon as I did, the caller just hung up. Classic spammer behaviour. I tried calling back, but all I got was a voicemail that didn’t say who they were. Definitely a shady number, no doubt spam.

He said hello first, so I said hello back, then he just said hello again and then he abruptly ended the call.

somebody called me up, knew my name and started going on about how i could earn cash in the financial markets. i said i wasn’t fussed and they asked why i wouldn’t want to make money. i just told them to remove my number from their records and then ended the call.
