Just clocked that the call I got from Alex at some energy advice firm was actually run by an automated voice system. Number was 01865679005. Pretty smart but also kinda worryin', feels like this is the next level of scam calls! I'm guessing it's loaded with a list of preset questions and replies. I found it a bit off that 'Alex' didn't really seem to listen to what I was saying, but honestly, that's how most scammers behave anyway, so it didn’t seem too odd. When I replied with a simple no thanks, it just switched gears and steered the chat towards other energy or insulation stuff.

This number keeps ringing me up about cavity wall and loft insulation, saying it’s dodgy and causes damp. This is the fifth call I’ve had from Alex or Tom today, so I’m just ignoring it and letting my voicemail handle them now. The TPS doesn’t seem to work at all since it goes after legitimate companies instead of these fraudsters.

Some bloke named Tom kept cutting me off, wouldn’t let me get a word in. He rang up about my loft, saying I might have asbestos up there, but I don’t even have a loft - it’s a warehouse. When I tried to tell him that, he just shut me down and hung up on me! Proper annoying.

0121 5990300 has been blowing my phone up every half hour for a few days now. Some bloke named Alex from an energy company, I think. It’s obviously a robo call cos the moment you try to say anything the call ends. Getting these calls so often is really frustrating, especially when I’m trying to focus on work at home.

I’m pretty sure it’s triggered by voice and the voice sounds like a really good digital playback. Honestly, you should have some set responses prepared, I didn’t and it just hangs up on you!

Tom kept calling about loft installation grants, which I’ve never even applied for. After he rang a second time and just cut me off without saying sorry, I blocked him. No more Tom for me.

Got a call off some bloke called Tom about insulation they reckoned we'd just had put in the loft. I told him we hadn’t done any work like that lately and he just ended the call straight away.

This guy named 'Tom' keeps ringing me, quite a few times over the last year, warning me that the foam insulation put in ages ago leads to mould and damp. Each time he phones, I remind him that our home is super dry and well insulated, probably the smartest investment we've made. I even tell him that what he’s saying is total nonsense. He always hangs up on me before I can finish setting him straight. So rude! Then, to top it off, his mate calls about an hour later, repeating the exact same rubbish!

0121 5990300 - I’m baffled about what this scammer hoped to get out of it. I played along with Tom, gave him fake address info and agreed with everything he said, kept him on the line for a few minutes. He then mentioned booking a survey date but as soon as I asked for when it could be, he just ended the call. Don’t really see what the goal was apart from just wasting time. At least I managed to waste some of his!

Got a call from someone called ‘Sam’ about a ‘boiler service deal’. He kept pressing me to say if I owned the house, sounded very pushy and quite rude. I just ended the call. Definitely a scam.

01215 990300 - Got a call from some bloke called 'Tom' about the insulation I've supposedly had done. When I asked how he knew who he was talking to, he said he was new and that I’m on a list of people who've had insulation work and would’ve needed a top-up. Thing is, I did the insulation myself and didn’t tell a soul! I kinda suspected it was a scam before I picked up, but figured I'd play along for a bit. He even tried to scare me saying ‘my manager will call you back’. Yeah right, total scammer lol.
