I received a call from someone claiming to be from The Register, but they were asking about an individual who doesn’t even work for the organisation. They were rather insistent about wanting to share an IT report, although they insisted on getting confirmation first. It all came off as rather dodgy and had the markings of a potential scam.

Beware! It appears I’ve encountered a dodgy operation, as they were attempting to persuade me to reveal my banking information under the guise of some imaginary insurance scheme. Quite the cheek, I must say!
