7 yearsAt precisely 11:46 AM on the 27th of March 2019, I received an unexpected call on my landline, which I, sadly, wasn’t able to pick up. The voice mail that followed was rather unsettling-it was a mechanical, female-sounding voice claiming to be from TalkTalk. It warned that my internet service was on the verge of being terminated, and then offered me a rather dubious choice: "Press One if you wish to halt the disconnection", or "Press Two if you wish to stick with TalkTalk."
