I received a call from a chap with a foreign accent, claiming there was an issue with my Windows system. He insisted that I power up my computer, to which I explained it was on a different floor and my phone wasn’t with me there. He then asked me to bring my mobile device upstairs. I informed him that I don’t actually use Windows and promptly ended the conversation. This isn’t the first time I’ve encountered this sort of call; I’ve had a few similar ones previously. Occasionally, I like to entertain the caller for a bit, but today I decided to cut it short.

I didn’t answer because the call came from an international number and usually I just don’t bother with those. The number showed up as foreign, which always makes me a bit wary. Reading through the other comments though, it’s clear it was a scam - especially since I don’t even have TalkTalk. Definitely not worth picking up.

I just had a rather dodgy call from this number. The bloke on the other end got my surname all wrong, which immediately raised my suspicions. He went on about how my internet was allegedly infecting my computer with viruses. I could tell he was trying to pull a fast one, so I decided enough was enough and terminated the call.

I received a rather peculiar call from this number claiming to be the TPS (Telephone Preference Service) wanting to verify my account details. Naturally, I was a bit sceptical and requested their contact number; however, they furnished me with what seemed like a dodgy number-0063 570341. Quite the fishy situation!

This number rang me earlier. It took a while to get through, then it sounded like I was the one calling - I heard the dial tone and then someone answered. The person on the other end sounded like they had an accent, so I just ended the call. Pretty sure this is some sort of spam and I'll probably get stung on my phone bill.

Just received a call from them about ten minutes back, but as luck would have it, they promptly disconnected. In the past, I've encountered similar calls, and I usually either terminate the call or-if I'm feeling particularly amused and have a moment to spare-I’ll respond with something like, "Ah yes, I have noticed the connection seems a tad sluggish." It's rather entertaining to let them attempt to walk me through their so-called improvements, all while I lounge in my armchair, away from any screens. Eventually, when they’ve arrived at a point where I’m met with nothing but a persistently blank display, I like to quip, "Would it do any good if I switched on my computer?" This generally triggers a swift disconnection from their end, accompanied by an amusing little Bzzzz. 😊

I received a call where there was nothing but background noise, almost like some sort of commotion, but no one actually said a word. Quite frustrating, so I ended the call. Just another number to add to my list of nuisance callers!

Received a call from a woman with an African accent claiming to be Ellen Williams from Talk Talk. She said there was an issue with my internet that needed fixing. I’m pretty sure it's a scam since I’m not even with Talk Talk for my internet!
