I didn’t pick up when this number rang, but I looked it up afterwards and found out it’s actually a scam.

odd one this. caller ID said it was from abroad, but the number came up as 01215317860, which is completely local. clearly a fake caller ID and an obvious scam try. now, whenever these so-called scammers ring me, i just ask who they really are, and when they say 'bt' or something similar, i have a bit of fun taking the mick, asking who else they've conned out of cash today? anyone who answers these random calls without caution is asking for trouble - this type of caller's definitely a menace.

Got a call about loft insulation, but the person on the line had a really thick Indian accent. Seemed a bit off to me.

Got a call from 15317860 today. As soon as I picked up, the line just cut out. Since I didn’t recognise the number, I figured it wasn’t a mate. If it was just a wrong number, which happens to all of us now and then, a quick apology before hanging up would be nice. Without that, you’re left scratching your head wondering what it was all about.
