Got a phone call from someone saying they were from Microsoft. They kept telling me my phone was hacked somewhere in the US. The guy said he could show me my serial number as proof. I just told him to get lost and hung up on him. Then he rang again asking why I had ended the call - I just cut him off straight away.

Received a call from someone with a strong American accent claiming to be from Microsoft, droning on about my internet supposedly being compromised from the States. He even offered to provide my serial number as some sort of verification. I told him I was sceptical and asked him to clear off. He then called back to question why I'd cut him off, repeated his spiel, and I disconnected once more. Quite the nuisance!
