I got a call from someone claiming to be EE offering a discount on my bill, following a chat I'd had with a woman on a mobile number earlier. The guy said he’d send me a text with a code, which I did get - it was actually from EE and warned that they’d never ring to ask me for the code I’d need to access my account. Then the caller asked me for that code! I quickly told him he was clearly trying to scam me, and he just hung up. Just a heads up - don’t ever share your one-time code, or they could get into your account and cause serious problems.
