Beware of this dodgy caller claiming to be from the Microsoft License Team! They tried to convince me that my account had been compromised. Straight away, I blocked them!

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent saying she was with the Microsoft licence team. She rattled off an address that wasn’t even mine and told me my PC had been compromised. Played along for a bit until she told me to check if my computer was switched on. Then I asked where she was ringing me from, and she said Cambridge. I pointed out that the number was actually from Birmingham, and then she just cut me off. Needless to say, I blocked the number.

I just got a call from this number telling me to switch on my computer. Honestly, with all the new rules about needing permission before calling, how are these folks still managing to ring us up? It’s really frustrating!

I got a call saying that my computer needed a license or it was gonna stop working. Definitely sounded like a scam, so watch out for that one.

Just got a call from these lot, said they were from Cambridge and gave me a licence code for my computer. They told me to type "ft" into it or something. The number they used was 4123709610, but they didn’t seem to realise you gotta put a zero at the start. Then when I asked where the call was coming from, they said Birmingham and accused me of being cheeky. After about 10 minutes of messing about, they just hung up on me. Proper scam, don’t fall for it!

I got a call like that too, someone pretending to be from the Microsoft licence team saying my computer had been hacked in the past day. Problem is, I’ve only had this PC for about a week. Pretty clear scam if you ask me!
