Just had an encounter with this number. Initially, it was a generic greeting and then I was put on hold. Eventually, an American voice came on, saying that they were too busy and would ring me back. When I tried calling again, someone finally picked up. It turns out it was a company linked to an eco government grant scheme aimed at replacing boilers and insulating floors. They’re based in Birmingham and quoted a relatively low price. However, as is often the case with these things, once the survey was conducted, the figure started creeping up. It’s vital to thoroughly check all the proposed work and grasp the costs involved. You shouldn't be paying more than £500, and it could easily be less. I've already done the legwork with the government department and had a few surveys done myself, with quotes ranging from nothing to £1,750. So, a word of advice: tread carefully!
