Got a call from a young woman with a northern accent saying I was owed like £2000 plus after a car crash and injury. They probably think I was in the accident but that's not true - I wasn’t even in the car, just saw my neighbour smash into my parked vehicle. Told her she had the wrong person, she said thanks and then hung up. I thought these kinda calls were meant to be banned?

Got a call today from a woman who said her name was Carla Simms, sounded like some sort of recorded message, mentioning a car crash. I just ended the call and blocked the number right away. Definitely felt like a scam trying to fish for info.

Got a call from a woman yesterday at 13:21. When I asked her which car I was supposed to have had the accident with, she just hung up. Then today at 09:23, they called me again. The lady said her name was Carla Sims. I asked the same question about the car accident, and she put me through to some supervisor called Christopher Allen. I told him I was struggling to understand him because of his strong Pakistani accent. Then he claimed there was a bad connection and ended the call.

Just rang this number today, answered with a simple hello a few times, and the caller just paused then said hello back before hanging up. When I tried calling again, an automated message said the number isn’t valid. I even checked it on Skype and got a disconnect tone. It’s a bit odd and honestly, the only thing I can guess is maybe it’s connected to some kind of 3rd party monitoring, like Capita or G4S, which some folks reckon are used by government agencies or dodgy firms to push scams. Quite suspicious if you ask me.

I'm in Australia and picked up this call without checking the number cause I was waiting for a callback. Around 2.37pm, a woman with a northern accent called, claiming she was from First Choice and said she'd just been told I’d been in a car crash. I hung up straight away since it clearly sounded like one of those dodgy scams trying to trick people out of money.
