8 yearsI thought I’d share a bit about my recent run-in with a car accident. When I mentioned I hadn't the faintest clue what they were on about, they insisted they’d received trustworthy intel from the Road Traffic Authority. Naturally, that’s not quite accurate.Road Traffic Authority9 yearsKelly Jones here.Kelly Jones9 yearsKelly Jones - i just gave them my standard reply and told them to shove off.Kelly Jones9 yearsCrash scam again... absolute rubbish these sort of people are.......9 yearsNo clue who this is been ringin me non stop for ages but I can’t get through to call em back so I’ve just blocked the number now.9 yearsGet calls from this number all the time. Told them to stop calling and they just dropped the call. Same old Kelly Jones story as usual...Kelly Jones9 yearsJust got a ring from those dodgy personal injury folks... I dragged it on for ages, even spun a little tale. You could tell they were working out the cash in their dull brains...9 yearsSomeone called me today claiming Kelly Jones had an accident. I asked them nicely to tell me who passed or sold my info, but they just ignored me. Told them what they’re doing’s illegal since GDPR started back in May 2018, and I’m a Data Protection Officer anyway lol, so they picked the wrong person to bother. With all the bad reviews this company gets here, you’d think someone would take action by now!Kelly Jones9 yearsHonestly, I couldn’t care less who’s ringing. If the number’s not familiar, I just don’t pick up. After that, I plug the number in online to see who they are. And surprise, surprise… it’s nearly always some sort of scam. Simple as that.9 yearsGot a call saying I’d been in a car crash, total scam. Ignored and blocked straight away.9 years01214960040 - bloody awful scammers, full of hate and just out to nick your cash. I’m on the TPS register, obviously, but it doesn’t seem to help one bit. The whole telco industry is rotten through and through, and honestly, the Government needs to step in and sort this mess out ASAP.Telephone Preference Service9 yearsGot a scam call about an accident! She asked if I’d been in a car crash or something?Kelly Jones9 yearsGot a call from Kelly Jones telling me I’d been in a car crash that wasn’t my fault. Then they passed me on to another person. Definitely sounded like one of those accident scam calls, total dodgy stuff.Kelly Jones9 yearsI ignored the call and there was no message left. Most likely some random telemarketer since I don't know anyone from Birmingham.Birmingham9 yearsIf you get calls from live people, make sure to report them to the ICO (only if you’re signed up with the TPS already) and if you’re getting silent or dropped calls, report those to OFCOM on their website. Spam callers won’t bat an eye if you just complain here, but they start sweating when you actually notify Ofcom or the ICO - takes less than 5 mins. Also, if you haven’t joined the TPS yet, honestly you’re just asking for it. Your phone provider doesn’t really help either, since they make money selling caller ID and charging for call blocking services.TPSICOOFCOM9 yearsGot a call about a crash I’d never been part of.9 yearsGot a missed call but looks like it was nothing important after all.9 yearsSo irritating!!9 yearsGot a call from someone saying they heard I’d been in a car crash. The voice was a woman, sounded kind of real but her replies didn’t seem natural at all. I reckon it was some sort of automated message. That set off a few alarm bells for me. Feels like one of those scams where they splice your answers to make it look like you agreed to something you didn’t. I’d be really careful about what you say if you get a call like this.
