I received a phone call from someone purporting to be from BT Openreach, who insisted that my internet connection was operating at a snail's pace. I pointed out that I was actually on Virgin fibre, to which he dismissively stated that Virgin still relies on BT’s infrastructure. That raised my suspicions, and I expressed my belief that this was rather dodgy. Suddenly, the caller cut off without another word.
