I got a call from someone claiming to be from UK National, asking me a few questions. I told them they must be out of touch if they haven't heard these calls are banned now, and asked to speak with their manager. A bit later, another person with an accent came on, asked for me by name and said how can they assist. I told them that cold calls like this are against the law and they said sorry, promising to take my number off their UK National records. We'll see if they actually do it!

got a call from some unknown number this morning. answered with a quick “hello” and the other person just hung up straight away. ran a 1471 check and the number came up as 01214765812. the first call today didn’t even bother leaving a number, second one was the same but at least left a number behind. honestly, the phone companies really need to put a stop to this nonsense. all they ever do is suggest signing up to the TPS, which i’m already signed up for.

Got a call from some bloke who had an accent, I think maybe Indian. He asked for me by name and I told him I wasn’t in. Then he wondered if I was part of the family, so I said I was the gardener. This was some sort of marketing firm, I think. They kept grilling me with one question after another, all supposedly quick, just so other businesses could buzz in and ask even more stuff. They kept going on about things like who my electric provider was. Took ages, felt like I was stuck answering questions forever. I've gone and blocked their number now.
