Got a call from a bloke with a South Asian accent claiming he was from some credit company. Said I could qualify for a government grant to clear my debts. He asked about how much I owed and to whom, but I told him I wasn’t giving out that info to someone I don’t know. Told him to send any proper paperwork to my house instead. Oddly enough, he already knew my address, then just hung up. I’ve blocked the number now and won’t be picking up if they call back.

The offer they made seemed absolutely incredible, but my instincts kicked in, and I requested that they send me an email. I then reached out to Carphone directly, only to find out it was all a ruse.
