Just got a call from 0121 4681 902 about some medical survey. They wanted to know if I’d had the Covid jab, the flu shot, and if I’ve got life insurance. I answered all their questions, then asked what the purpose of the call was, but the person just ended the call without explaining. Feels a bit dodgy to me, really want to report this number.

Got a call from some scam robo thing. It only kicked off after I said hello. They used my surname but called me Mrs instead of Miss - I tried to correct that quick but they just ignored me. Said they were from some energy advice place but then just hung up on me suddenly. This is the second time they've called; first call was just a hang-up.

They had my last name and my mobile phone number. They claimed to represent some sort of 'energy advice centre' and reassured me that they weren’t selling anything, merely wanting to inform me about available Government grants. Curious, I inquired if they were acting on behalf of the Government, to which they responded negatively. They insisted they were an independent entity. I pondered out loud, if you’re not affiliated with the Government and aren’t peddling services, how do you generate income? Suddenly, the line went dead. Seems rather dodgy to me.

A bloke rang me, kicking things off with "Is that Mr Jones?" even though they must know there’s barely any chance I am. It’s the same trick every time and honestly, if I had a quid for each hoax call starting like that, I'd be rolling in it by now. Do they really think we’re that gullible? Our phone number’s on the Telephone Preference Service list, so these calls are definitely breaking the rules about not contacting numbers signed up to TPS. I’ve already put in an official complaint with them about it.
