Got a call from some robotic voice with an American accent saying it was Amazon and that my Prime membership would be auto-renewed for £39.99 charged to my card unless I spoke to an agent by hitting 1. I didn’t press anything, just ended the call. They never mentioned my name or any details at all. Plus, I don’t even have an Amazon Prime account! The call came through my Birmingham landline, so I have no idea how much it would’ve cost me if I’d pressed 1. Definitely wasn’t genuine Amazon, that’s for sure.
